The Fair. Holy nostalgia.
First make out session? Ferris wheel, Miami-Dade County Fair and Expo. First cigarette? Parking lot, Miami-Dade County Fair and Expo. First open cattle show? You guessed it, the World of Agriculture at Miami-Dade County Fair and Expo.
Seemingly every major milestone in our lifetime has happened at the Fair Expo Center (10901 SW 24 ST, Miami), a slice of temporary amusement park heaven that hits Miami-Dade County every March. Celebrating its 61st anniversary this, the Fair opens on Thursday, March 15.
Fueled by deep fried everything, snow cones and all the Pepsi products our stomachs can handle, you’ll find us on the midway riding our favorites—Freak Out, the Yo-Yo, the Himalaya, the Zipper, the Spider, everything.
After we’re done puking up elephant ears and soggy arepas, we’re switching gears and hitting up the petting zoo, betting on hogs at the pig race, getting our chill on at the ice show and clowning with the freaks at Circus.
