British electronic/rock band Underworld audibly peaked after Darren Emerson joined the group in 1991, and subsequently helped craft classic dance-floor anthems such as "Rez," "Cowgirl," and "Born Slippy." Similarly, the group has made only minimal noise since he departed in 2000. Draw your own conclusions there, but we think Emerson has something of a golden touch — or ear.

Since his departure from the group, Emerson has definitely taken his time to craft his solo work. After putting out a handful of singles over the years via his Underwater record label, he's expected to finally release his debut full-length album sometime in 2009. In the meantime, he continues to drop propulsive DJ mixes such as his recent Global Underground: Bogotá.
