Mmmm, mmm. Everyone loves a clambake. No, not one of those parties with more chicks than, um, sausages; we're talking about an outdoor extravaganza of fresh-cooked seafood and open fires. But this ain't your Bostonian cousin's clambake. This is a real, live South Beach shindig, so you should leave your run-into-the-ground beach-bum flip flops in the closet. At the weekly Social Clambake at Social Miami at the Sagamore hotel, it's not your duty to round up seaweed, nor is it your duty to make sure the Coronas stay cold. Every Thursday the pretty people gather poolside at this oasis. From 7:00 to 10:00 p.m., you can catch a gathering of scrumptious shellfish and tanned, fresh faces. At $39.99 per person, chic clambakers savor the flavors of Social Miami's New England clam chowder, fresh green salad, and a bucket filled with one pound of grilled lobster, steamed Little Neck clams, steamed shrimp, and corn on the cob. We're already salivating.
Thursdays, 7-10 p.m., 2007
