Okay, so the Dolphins arent headed to the playoffs this year. Does that really matter when swarms of transplanted New Yorkers ahem -- descend upon the stadium in Jets gear and act like they own the place? With a significant portion of the stadium occupied by enemy fans, the Miami vs. New York Jets game is inevitably the rowdiest, beer-throwingest rivalry of the season. After manhandling the Patriots, the Dolphins might have finally broken the December curse that has haunted them in recent years. A win over the Jets would allow the team to end the season with heads held high. A loss would rule out a winning season, and worse: It would mean every obnoxious jerk from Jersey or Long Island gets bragging rights for another year. (Full disclosure: Aforementioned jerks may well be me or members of my family.) So, Dolphins fans, will you protect this house? Kickoff is at 8:30 p.m. at Dolphin Stadium. Tickets start at $29.
