Most of the remaining games for the Miami Heat are against losing teams, sub .500 outfits like the Boston Celtics. But as anyone who watched the Cs pull off a one-point win over Indiana on March 3 knows, the Green Machine, like any other NBA franchise, can surprise. If the Heat is going to melt down, it would be doubly humbling to do so against the leagues lesser teams. Not that we expect that to happen, but Paul Pierce, Raef LaFrentz, Wally Szczerbiak, Delonte West, and company likely savor the opportunity to be giant killers. While the Cs were doing in the Pacers, the Heat barely beat the flightless Atlanta Hawks on a last-second dunk by Alonzo Mourning (off an assist by Derek Anderson). Zo continues to play like the champion he should become this year, and the arrival of Mr. Anderson is nothing but good news. The Celtics visit the American Airlines Arena for this 8:00 p.m. game. Tickets start at ten dollars. Call 305-577-HEAT, or visit www.heat.com.
