Once West Side Story hit Broadway, the stage's landscape changed. Dark themes, a complex soundscape, intricate dance sequences, and a tinge of reality enthralled audiences. The story of forbidden love is one that many folks can't relate to because a large segment of the population is afraid to leap. The actors in the Roxy Theatre Group's interpretation of the legendary play aren't afraid to leap, plié, or scissor kick through the air, and you'll be grateful for their fearlessness. Seventy-five young people, ages 11 to 17, will take the stage as modern-day Sharks and Jets Friday through Sunday, March 27 through April 5. Tickets cost $20.
