And he's all like, "Well, fine. I'm taking your inheritance away!" And then your rich uncle goes around wooing young widows with lines such as, "Yo, my nephew sucks, but you got all your teeth and I got all this money." Don't you just hate it when that happens?

What if one of those widows wanted to make the old perv hate his life, not just for his nephew's sake, but for his greenback collection. Well, ladies and gentlemen, such is the plot to the Miami Lyric Opera's staging of Don Pasquale at the Colony Theatre. This Saturday at 8 p.m., Stefano de Peppo makes his company debut as the bass baritone titular character, while David Pereira accompanies him as Ernesto the nephew. Laura Montes debuts as the crafty widow Norina. Oh, Don Pasquale, when you gonna learn?
