Rapture usually means all the saved folk have been transferred to Heaven and it's just us sinners left behind. But in this case, "Rapture" is the art exhibit featuring Natasha Duwin and Henning Haupt in what is being called a "celebration of change and possibilities." Haupt, whose painting and drawings are included in the ArtFormz exhibit, recently moved to South Florida from Berlin. At Florida Atlantic University in Fort Lauderdale, he teaches architectural design and seminars about the relationship among color, painting, and architecture. Buenos Aires-born Duwin holds an MFA in visual arts from Florida International University and is the artist-in-residence at ArtCenter/South Florida on Lincoln Road. In "Rapture," her work elaborates on the female condition. She uses nontraditional materials and methods such as metal and needlework to evoke a sensuous environment. "Rapture" runs through May 3.
Tuesdays-Saturdays. Starts: April 10. Continues through May 3, 2010
