Will Sing for Drinks
What are the holidays without a little singing? In this day and age, we cant go a-caroling door-to-door (imagine that in Miami), but we can go to the beach and belt out a tried-and-true holiday tune. At least today we can when the Lincoln Road Concert Series begins with a holiday concert by the Miami Arts Brass Ensemble. This is the first of four concerts at the Miami Beach Community Church, located on the corner of Lincoln Road and Drexel Avenue. Most of the musicians onstage, including several professors and members of the New World Symphony, have ties to the Miami area. The show will end with an audience sing-along. Upcoming concerts include Valentine Vivaldi (February 16), Trombone Impressario (March 4), and Florida Grand Opera (May 12). Tickets for each concert cost $15 in advance, $20 at the door, or $48 for the entire series. All performances begin at 8:30 p.m. Call 305-673-3331, or visit www.miamiartscollective.com.
