Quick: Name three things about Paris that don’t include the words “socialite,” “blonde,” or “stupid-rich.” Well done, if you said anything like “home of the crêpe, the Louvre, and the fashionable beret.” Shame on you if you said, “that’s hot.” Redeem yourself tonight at an exhibit based on the only Paris worth mentioning, just in time for French Heritage Month. At 7:00 p.m. the Alliance Française of Miami presents the photography of Nilda Cepero. Cepero is a celebrated writer, editor, and poet, but tonight she’ll be showing a collection of photos that pay homage to the City of Lights. The exhibit, “Paris: Poetic Images of Night and Dawn,” will run until March 31, but for tonight only, Cepero will be there to meet, greet, and school you. The wine tasting during the event will help to shake off those nerves.
Fri., March 9, 7 p.m.
