Too Much of a Good Thing
Oops ... you did it again. No, Im not talking about forgetting to wear panties under your really short skirt. And no, Im not even going to mention that DUI (dialing under the influence) incident. You skipped dinner, you mixed liquors, and you didnt drink enough water -- or take that aspirin -- before you went to bed. So how do you feel now? Like you are riding the teacups at Disney World with a peewee football helmet stuck on your head? Not good.
I surveyed three people (hey, its the holidays and the office is pretty empty, mkay?) and have compiled some tried-and-true cures for the cocktail flu.
Hair of the dog, anyone? Yeah, I know you cant stand the thought of having another drink, but the bloody mary is a popular hangover helper. Maybe its the vitamins and antioxidants in the tomato juice, or the spicy kick of Tabasco and Worcestershire sauce, but just one of these beverages with a crunchy celery stalk will have you sitting upright and craving food in no time.
Speaking of food: Fried and/or spicy seems to be the way to go. Ive heard everything from burritos to fried eggs and hash browns can relieve your bubbling belly.
Still not hungry? Then this buds for you -- if you have the connection. Yeah, you know what Im talking about. Remember that stash left over from the laser light show? Well, bust into it and use it for its medicinal qualities. I hear ahem it is good for settling the queasies and bringing on the munchies. Visit en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hangovers for more remedies.
