The Gay Choir Conspiracy
The Miami Gay Mens Chorus is a big cog in the Gay Agenda. It began as a group of only six people in 1999, but over the past decade, it has swelled to 100 members of all ages, with audience growth of 30 percent every season. Plus its moving to increasingly larger venues, and it has connections to dozens of gay and lesbian choirs around the world. Tuesday night theyll perform Sounds of the Season at Coral Gables Congregational Church (3010 De Soto Blvd., Coral Gables). Theyll sing a repertoire of holiday classics, including Rudolph the Red-Nosed Twink and Santa Claus Is Coming to Sodom.
Actually, they wont be singing those songs. But it would be awesome if they did. Come for the choirs heavenly quadruple-layer harmony and a dose of authentic and traditional holiday songs. The show begins at 8 p.m. For more info, call 305-604-8787 or visit www.miamigaychorus.org.
Tue., Dec. 9, 8 p.m., 2008
