The Don Invades Dade

Beer muscles play tricks on your mind. They make the stupidest acts of bravery, skill, and coordination seem not only feasible but also easy to accomplish. And if you've ever trespassed on nursing home property after dark to attempt a drunken two-story skateboard trick over a 50-foot gap into the shallow end of a pool, you know exactly what we're talking about.

Well, so does Don Quixote. But his delusions were spurred by more nerdy pursuits, namely reading. He consumed so many books about knights in shining armor that he decided to become one. And because he barely slept or ate, his mind entered a state of hallucinatory detachment from reality. His story is one of the greatest ever told, and his name lives on around the world. So even if you hated Swan Lake, go revel in the Cuban Classical Ballet of Miami’s costumed interpretation of Don Quixote at the Fillmore Miami Beach.
