That's So Fandom
South Florida becomes the center of the football world from the end of January until February 7, when Super Bowl XLIV goes off at Dolphin Stadium, uh, Sun Life Stadium. Helping kick off all of that pigskin goodness is the South Florida FanFest, which runs this Friday through Sunday at the Miami Beach Convention Center.
The 200,000-square-foot facility will be crammed with $1 million worth of authentic merchandise, including seats and lockers from the Orange Bowl. Football stars will be among the VIP guests, including former Hurricanes great and current Washington Redskins wideout Santana Moss, former UM star Edgerrin James, former FSU standout Marvin Jones, and former Dillard High and Michigan State star Lorenzo White. And fan activities include a mini-camp, Catch-a-Pass From a Star, Throw-a-Pass, and Xbox Challenge.
Fri., Jan. 29, 9 a.m.; Sat., Jan. 30, 9 a.m.; Sun., Jan. 31, 9 a.m., 2010
