Yesterday the Sony Ericsson Open blew into town in a storm of lime-green balls and crisp, white sweatbands. Until April 1, 192 of the worlds top male and female players will compete for $6.9 million in prizes in both singles and doubles competitions. And for all the star-chasers, the sports A-Listers -- Venus and Serena Williams, Andy Roddick, Maria Sharapova, and James Blake -- will definitely be on the court (and probably haunting a few local nightspots too). The games will be held at the Tennis Center at Crandon Park. As an added bonus, five fashion shows featuring designs from Roberto Cavalli, Diane Von Furstenburg, and Etro will be sprinkled throughout the two-week tournament. The shows will be held at the Nexxus Fashion Park located within the Tennis Center and are free to ticketed fans. Tickets are five dollars to $50 for general admission, twenty dollars to $50 for grandstand seating, and $80 to $325 for VIP.
