Forget the Dolphins and the fickle fandom that goes along with ’em. The true football fanatics in this city bleed orange, green, and white. It makes sense. After all, Miamians love to party, and there ain’t no party like a college football party. This Saturday, the sports shindig revolves around our beloved University of Miami Hurricanes taking on Atlantic Coast Conference opponents the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets. Florida versus Georgia is always a rivalry extraordinaire. Though we share a state line, we sure as hell don’t have a whole lot else in common — and the gridiron is a great place to prove our unquestioned superiority. Luckily, we’ve kicked their asses in every matchup since 2009 — so with our current win streak, this year’s battle royal is looking good. And seriously, a hurricane would dominate a measly little yellow jacket any day.
