Calling all cycling enthusiasts. Whether you’re a seasoned rider or just taking off the training wheels, Everglades Bicycle Club welcomes you to one of its most popular events, the Mazzotti Snowbird Century, which honors the late Roland Mazzotti. The ride provides options for different skill levels. Experienced road cyclists can choose from the 100-mile century or 62-mile metric century. Less experienced cyclists can have fun pedaling with family or friends on the 40-mile route or try the 30-mile route, which is better suited to beginners and touring cyclists. The 2014 Roland Mazzotti Snowbird Century begins at Homestead Air Reserve Park (27401 SW New York Ave., Homestead) at 7:30 a.m. Sunday. Registration costs $45 for EBC members and $50 for nonmembers. Rest stops, plenty of water, sports drinks, fruit, and more will be available. Early packet pick-up and walk-up registration is available at select locations prior to the event.
