Depeche Mode once said, “Words are very unnecessary,” and while the ’80s synthpop group certainly didn’t mean that in regard to three painted bald dudes shooting colorful streams of goop onstage and toilet paper into the audience, it really does fit the conversation about Blue Man Group.
The silent trio will amaze you with its joyous blend of music and visuals. They play all manner of instruments, pipes, and strange objects, and they enrapture crowds without even opening their mouths. Music is the universal language, after all, and who doesn’t like to party with paint?
Blue Man Group invades the Adrienne Arsht Center (1300 Biscayne Blvd., Miami) this Tuesday through May 18. Showtime is 8 p.m., and tickets cost $26 to $125. Call 305-949-6722 or visit arshtcenter.org.
