Smart Miami fashionistas haven’t splurged of late. In fact they’ve marked their calendars a week before Thanksgiving — and no, it has nothing to do with holiday shopping for the family. Shecky’s Girls Night Out is all about you, honey. Savvy shoppers know there are girlie shopping events and then there’s Shecky’s — the grand dame of touring feminine fiestas. The New York-based event makes pit stops in almost all of America’s largest cities, and this Wednesday is Miami’s turn to enjoy fashion, beauty, cocktails, and great deals all in one wonderful evening. This season’s Shecky’s should be extra-amazing: In addition to promising great goody bags and an impressive array of talented jewelry, accessory, and clothing designers, it’s being held at the Catalina Hotel & Beach Club (1732 Collins Ave., Miami Beach), which means cool Miami winter weather and shopping under the stars. It’s a date!

The work of more than 50 designers is expected to be on display, and sponsors include Chambord liqueur and Finlandia vodka. So maintain a straight head while you’re browsing the booths. We recommend you keep an eye out for the stunning pieces at Beryl Blush Blonde jewelry, and be sure to check out Republika, Guru, and Beijo Bags. Our advice? Bring cash. That way you can limit yourself to a predetermined amount when those OMG amazing earrings start calling your name. General admission is 10 bucks, and deluxe goody-bag tickets are two for $25, which includes admission. For the special girlfriend rate, visit www.girlsnightout.sheckys.com.
