Our Bond Is More than Beauty
If you're tired of the urban cool of art world openings, you might dig the creative types at Artennae Global Art Consulting, who have banded together to form a pan-tribal outfit that celebrates emerging artists. The goal of Artennae is to deliver the strength of union to the disconnected in a nontraditional gallery setting; in other words, it's an island of real people in an ocean of indifference.
Artennae's inaugural exhibit, "Tribal Journey," will open this Saturday at 7 p.m. and will feature bold, colorful paintings by Catherine Rogers, among others."The exhibit is a reflection on returning to the age of the human bond between those of 'like minds' rather than focusing on the bonds of perceived outer appearance," explains Artennae collaborator and curator Cheryl A. Moody.
A Remy Martin open bar will get you into the spirit of the clan at the Wynwood Lofts Art Complex.
Sat., Sept. 12, 7 p.m., 2009
