Ever wonder what it would be like to experience a zombie invasion? Something more realistic than your typical haunted house in which attendees get chased by costumed actors? No, you want to live through a badass action-movie experience, where you’re equipped with combat gear and carrying a protective weapon. But having the right tools to fight an invasion is just the beginning. You also need proper training.
That’s why, during Miami’s Adventure Combat Ops event, you’ll have the opportunity to learn how to defend yourself against zombies. As with any proper mission, you will first be trained by combat leaders — the only difference here is that the actors are former soldiers from the U.S. Army Rangers, Special Forces, Marine Special Operations Command, Navy SEALs, or Delta Force. The folks over at Adventure Combat Ops aim to deliver a unique experience in various cities every weekend, and this weekend, they have chosen to bring zombies to Miami.
Adventure Combat Ops takes place Friday through Sunday. The location is kept top-secret until 48 to 72 hours before the mission; all we can tell you for now is that the operation will take place somewhere within a 20-minute driving distance of Miccosukee Resort & Gaming (500 SW 177th Ave., Miami). You can choose to register as a soldier or volunteer as a walking undead.
Nov. 8-10, 10 a.m., 3 & 8 p.m., 2013
