Off to See the Wizards
Dwyane Wade and company need to send the guy who came up with the 2009-10 NBA schedule a Christmas card, because the Miami Heat plays eight of its first ten games at home. This Tuesday, they meet the Washington Wizards, a team that has underachieved the past two seasons owing to injuries to star Gilbert Arenas. When Arenas lands at the American Airlines Arena, hell definitely be out to prove hes finally healthy for the first time in two seasons. Joining him on the hardwood will be center Brendan Haywood, who missed 76 games in 2008-09, and former Gator Mike Miller both members of a supporting cast adapting to new coach Flip Saunderss fast, precision offense that the Heat will desperately need to find a way to slow. Expect second-year Heat coach Eric Spoelstra to have his team stroll and force Washington to play heavy defense. Tip-off is at 7:30 p.m. Tickets start at ten dollars.
