The lights are dim, incense is burning, calming music is soothing your stress-related headache, and you’re greeted with a cordial “Namaste” — you must be at yoga. Yoga can make a stressful workday disappear from memory, which is why the Coral Gables Museum (285 Aragon Ave., Coral Gables) is offering Summer Yoga at the Museum. Every Monday through July, the museum has been opening its doors after hours to assist patrons with their stress-relieving rituals. The beauty of the museum serves perfectly as a backdrop for twisting your body into animal shapes; practice your child pose, downward facing dog, or cobra in the shady courtyard or rooftop terrace.
Join instructor Shanti this Monday at 6 p.m. for what might be the last class of the summer, and don’t forget to bring your own mat. The fee for a class is $15 per person, or $10 for museum members. Drop-ins are welcome, but you may register in advance. Call 305-603-8067, or visit coralgablesmuseum.org.
