Ah, men. You can’t live with them, and you can’t live without — wait, never mind. We’re kidding, of course. The folks behind the World Erotic Art Museum’s newest exhibit, “Tom of Finland: Male Masterworks,” would slaughter us if they heard we made such a statement. “Male Masterworks” will be on display through July 31, and in it you’ll find 20 original drawings and paintings, an exclusive video tribute to masculinity, and rare vintage memorabilia — all paying homage to the mighty, sexy creature that is man. The opening takes place during Miami Beach Gay Pride, so curators are eager to showcase the diversity of masculine role models and promotion of self-confidence, openness, and a positive self-image in the gay community. But you don’t have to be gay to dig the art. These are paintings of big, burly men, so no matter your gender, you’re bound to get all worked up. Bring an extra pair of panties, ladies.
