If theres one thing the Netflix era has taught us, its that being able to watch any movie or TV show at your leisure pretty much beats paying $9 to see a flick in a crowded theater. But the Spa at Viceroy Miami (485 Brickell Ave., Miami) has decided to one-up the comforts of home viewing by showing films in the spa itself.
The last screening of the summer is the classic 1944 film Double Indemnity, a Billy Wilder-directed noir about an insurance salesman, his mistress, her dead husband, and a suspicious claims adjuster. It was the first Hollywood movie to dive deep into murder. And it was also penned by Raymond Chandler, who makes a fleeting cameo.
