Summer in Miami: the exact opposite of paradise. Between drone-like days in a cubicle and debauched nights on South Beach, you’d better make time to unwind. Sadly, owing to your low-paying office job and bottle service habit, you’ll have to unwind on a budget.
So thank your hot stones for Miami Spa Month, which returns Sunday. For massage aficionados, it’s better than Christmas.
Organized by the Greater Miami Convention and Visitors Bureau, the fifth annual Miami Spa Month runs through August 31 and offers a range of treatments at the city’s premier spas, with prices as low as $99. Consider it a well-deserved gift to yourself, or if you’re feeling generous, a loved one or two. Get a “Wine and Sublime Duo,” a two-part vino therapy, at the Wellness Garden and Spa at the Betsy (1440 Ocean Dr., Miami Beach) or a “Glow Getter” botanical treatment at Elle Spa at the Eden Roc Renaissance (4525 Collins Ave., Miami Beach). More than 38 hotels and spas across Miami are participating in the 60-day event, which offers topnotch services and special hotel packages.
