If Spike Jonze and Charlie Kaufmans 2002 film Adaptation forever ruined orchids for you by superimposing their petals over a disgusting version of Nicholas Cage, now is your chance to burn some new images into those retinas. The Redland International Orchid Show is the largest of its kind in the United States, with more than 50 booths of educational exhibits and orchid vendors, so no matter what your level of pollen passion, this is the show for you. Serious collectors will enjoy the contest aspect of the event, judged of course by the American Orchid Society, while mere flora fans will be content with cruising the booths, listening to lectures by orchid experts, and eating some of the amazing international food. The show blooms Friday and doesnt wilt until Sunday afternoon.
