Looking for a fun way to let loose, enjoy some classic tunes, and get trippy? Want to learn a little something at the same time? Sounds like you’re ready for the epic, colorful madness that is the annual Laser Fest Weekend at Miami Science Museum (3280 S. Miami Ave., Miami).
A special extension of the museum’s monthly series Fabulous First Fridays, Laser Fest Weekend offers a variety of shows throughout the day, featuring impressive laser performances inside the museum’s 231-seat planetarium with a 65-foot diameter. It’s a huge hit with kids, teens, and adults alike, and with eight shows to choose from, there’s something for everyone to get excited about.
Enjoy an early show for the kids with the “Pop” family laser show, or get trippy with mental music and lights from the Beatles, Jimi Hendrix, Radiohead, Led Zeppelin, and Pink Floyd.
The two-day festival kicks off Friday and runs through Saturday. The first show begins at 8 p.m., with a full schedule of showings until midnight.
