We understand if youre all art-ed out after Art Basel, but tonights event at the Wallflower Gallery is one with a heart, not just beautiful people schmoozing and raping the open bar. You know the Wallflower as a local mecca for creative types who infiltrate the scene with dance, spoken word, film, music, visual arts, and theater. But from 8 until midnight, the space will be filled with do-gooders from local Amnesty International chapters who are raising money, rocking out to local bands, and enjoying some really cool exhibits. Were doing this Amnesty International concert fundraiser to help bring people together and highlight different issues that are happening locally, regionally, and around the world, says Wallflowers funk-finder, Flash.
All night, AI will be supplying you with info on current issues like the injustices at Guantánamo Bay and violence against women, so while youre partying at one of the most awesome spaces in the city, youll also be doing your part in putting a huge Band-Aid on the world.
