They're here, they're queer, and they're never gonna steer you wrong. Whether you're in the closet, loud and proud, curious, or just plain fun to be around, let your true self shine at Miami Beach Gay Pride, kicking off Friday and ending Sunday. It's an LGBT extravaganza, and all colors of the rainbow are encouraged to attend. Festivities begin with a Friday-night block party at Mova (1625 Michigan Ave., Miami Beach), with tunes blasting from special guest DJ Tracy Young. Also on Friday, a special women's pride event gives the ladies some love at Score (1437 Washington Ave., Miami Beach). Of course, no one should miss the hot and sweaty Miami Beach Gay Pride Day at Lummus Park (Ocean Drive between Fifth Street and 14th Place on South Beach) Saturday, followed by another special ladies' night at the Vagabond (30 NE 14 St., Miami). Meanwhile, the men will congregate at Score. Save some energy, because the piece de resistance comes Sunday with the fabulous and fervent sixth-annual Miami Beach Gay Parade and Festival. Enjoy more than 100 vendors, businesses, celebrities, and musical performances, all presided over by official Gay Pride grand masters Gloria Estefan and Kenny Ortega. Prices for events vary; the parade is free. Call 863-272-9859 or visit miamibeachgaypride.com.
