The Swedes are good at a lot of things: Modern-looking furniture that looks easy to assemble but turns out to be a pain. Swedish meatballs and lingonberry jam. Creepy old dudes producing bubblegum hooks for pop-tart wannabes. Playing convincing vampires on hit HBO shows. And scary death metal music.
Oh, they are also good at electronic music. Case in point: Dada Life. The masterful duo of Olle Cornéer and Stefan Engblom has been producing supped-up house music since 2006. It's the sort of music that always sounds melodic yet climactic at the same time which seems to be a Swedish trait no matter the genre. Witness it yourself when they spin under the illuminated dome at LIV this Wednesday, incorporating some of their material from last year's Just Do the Dada. Resident Dirty Hairy DJs Ross One, Contra, and Jessica Who? will also occupy the decks.
