Next time you hear a guy complain about the lack of hyper-intellectual conversation in Miami, ask if hes free this Monday night. If so, tell him to head to the Lincoln Theatre at 7 for Inside the Music.
If you dont already know, Miami Beachs New World Symphony is the worlds leading orchestral academy, attracting the best young talent from all over America to study with the incomparable Michael Tilson Thomas. The forward-thinking program demands talent and theoretical know-how. In an informal setting -- if the crowd is small enough, you can sit on the stage -- NWS fellows lead interactive mini-lessons on classical music. Best of all, Inside the Music is totally free; you dont even need a ticket.
