Fried chicken and biscuits. Fried chicken and waffles. Fried chicken and corn. They’re all played-out culinary combos. But fried chicken and champagne is a noteworthy duo worth exploring. And at the inaugural Cluck Miami this Friday, chefs from area eateries will craft fried-chicken dishes in a philanthropic poultry battle culminating in copious quantities of champagne. Veuve Clicquot champagne, to be exact.
The event benefits Ronald McDonald House Charities of South Florida, so funds will help support programs for needy kids across the region.
Restaurants getting in on the feathered action include Eating House, J&G Grill from the St. Regis Bal Harbour, Chef Adrianne’s Vineyard, OTC Brickell, Jean Paul’s House, Sakaya Kitchen/Blackbrick, Will Call Miami, the Front Porch Café, and City Hall the Restaurant, plus desserts courtesy of Sugar Yummy Mama.
There’ll also be beer by Gravity Brewlab, cocktails by Bombay Sapphire and Chambord flavored vodka, art, and live entertainment — plenty to keep attendees occupied between drumsticks.
