Do the Miami Dolphins even play football anymore? For the past couple of weeks, Dolphins football news has been dominated not by events on the field, but by the alleged “bully culture” of the offensive line. It’s getting old, to say the least; all any Dolphins fan wants is for the drama to be over and the team to get back to playing football. Even worse, before the whole thing exploded on the national scene, the team seemed ready to make a push to the playoffs after defeating the Cincinnati Bengals with a dramatic overtime safety.
This Sunday, the Carolina Panthers, led by the much-hyped but oft-disappointing quarterback Cam Newton, will come to Sun Life Stadium (2269 NW 199th St., Miami Gardens). They’ve been pulling their act together in recent weeks as well, reeling off five straight wins, and could take the lead for the NFC South. Dolfans hope Ryan Tannehill, Mike Wallace, Cameron Wake, and the rest of the squad can use the media circus to galvanize the team into some revenge wins.
