Back Where We Started
Ah, the new year — a time to make resolutions, get a fresh start, and forget about the mountain of tossed monkey poop that is the Miami Dolphins. And what better way to do that than to go see the Miami Heat. While one team is busy finishing a third-straight mediocre season with sucky players, a fired head coach, and a reviled general manager, the other will look to once again contend for a title and will feature guys named LeBron James, Dwyane Wade, and Chris Bosh. This city used to be a football town. But that’s all gone down the crapper thanks to the awesomeness of Pat Riley and the Three Kings with which he has blessed us all. Sure, last season ended in disappointment when the Heat ultimately fell short of their quest for the NBA title. But the journey was worth it. And this is a new year, one when the Big Three are expected to be in the thick of the hunt again. The Heat will kick off their New Year’s journey when they host the Atlanta Hawks Monday at American Airlines Arena. Be there to kick it off with them as they look once again to be the top team in the NBA, while leaving the shitty Dolphins in the dust.
