Best Laundromat Miami 2013 - Scrub-a-Dub Coin Laundry

Robert often frequents Scrub-a-Dub Coin Laundry empty-handed — not looking for a wash or a dry, but simply some conversation. A few nights a week, he approaches one of the 30 stainless-steel washing machines stacked in threes along the right wall and chats with a new patron in (sometimes slurred) Spanish. While an occupied look will turn him away, Scrub-a-Dub's friendly customers engage the wandering personality as they pile whites, colors, and darks into Big ($4.75), Medium ($3.50), or Economy ($2.50) loads. Part-owner Zafar, a longtime Miami resident from Delhi, India, enjoys the company. He sits behind the counter, listing prices for the laundromat's wash and fold service (95 cents per pound), smiling as Robert advises even the regulars to choose any dryer they'd like. After all, 20 rumbling machines line the side of Scrub-a-Dub and will dry your pants and panties at a rate of 25 cents per seven minutes, just long enough to check your email on the joint's free Wi-Fi or grab a bite from Little Caesars next door. With a cortadito from Zafar, a smile from Robert, and about a half-hour of your time, Scrub-a-Dub will leave you feeling accomplished, content, and, of course, squeaky-clean.

Last night at 9:07 P.M. I went in this laundry mat with a huge volume of clothes to wash so I used the two biggest washers for 50 pound each in front where the staff sits. Last night the dark skinned middle aged man from Pakistan or India saw me sorting out my clothes and going to use the two largest washers in front of him. .He was seated all night with his eyes glued to his laptop. People in the back talked that he watches pornography. When you ask for help, he gives you a mean look because he seems he wants to stay glued to his laptop. The Pakistan man NEVER told me they were closing at 10:00 p.m. so he let me start washing at 9:07 P.M. At 10:00 P.M. while my son and  I were  half way folding our clothes in the back, he yelled from the front "It's time to close and you have to leave now." He was extremely rude.  He told me he didn't care we had not yet finished.  I told him "shut up" because his rudeness was bothering.  He walked up to me to curse in my face with profanity words. When I threaten to call police, he went stopped and left me alone.Another customer told me there have been problems with him as wellfor same reason.
