Best Caribbean Band Miami 2009 - Dangerflow

There's something to be said about a killer rhythm section. A great drummer combined with a gifted bassist can make or break any band. Luckily, the stunning boys of Dangerflow know very well how to get down and dirty with thick-ass bass lines that will make you jump to the nearest dance floor. Formed in late 2007, Dangerflow is that rare Miami group that knows how to mix funky reggae with hip-hop and Latin. The band's multicultural lineup — with percussionist Mauricio Estrada and drummer Jermaine D. Dukes — excels at keeping a cool and loose island vibe. Dangerflow also uniquely mixes the sweet, dancehall-tinged vocals of singer Eric Stinnett with energetic raps by MC Ocean. Like other great Miami groups (Locos por Juana and Spam Allstars) Dangerflow knows how to bring out the finest musical elements of its members' respective cultures and then transform that sound into something distinctively Miami.

It's really nice to see in today's day and age a band with such depth in musicians. They produce good music and have fun together.

Those guys in Dangerflow are also community activists. I've read some stuff on them doing a benefit shows and other community events. Theyve done tremendous work trying to fight HIV/ AIDS in South Florida too.

I saw that band last month and I must say that they are so amazing!! They made me and my girls dance all night. We even got a chance to talk with them after the show and they are nice and humble guys. They shouldnt be so humble though since they have REAL talent! They're sexy too!

I saw Dangerflow while visiting Miami for my bachelor party. They rock! My buddies and I are spreading the word here in the San Francisco Bay Area. We look forward to their album and hopefully they can visit us and "throw some sauce on it" here in the West Coast.

Dangerflow is not only a "killer rhythm" but a group of talented and hard working young mens. The Founder - President - Song Writer and Lead Singer - Angel Ocean,is an FIU graduate; And presently attendng FIU again, for his Master Degree in International Business Administration and Management. This young man, works full time, attends FIU, supports a family, finds time to write music, rehersals, and expends time on a daily basics with his ill father. Angel Ocean is an exceptional talented young man. A positive role model for us all. He deserves all the recognition and praises any hard working and talented young man can receive. Angel Ocean and his talented band members are an inspiration to all of us.Congratulations to each and every member of Dangerflow, (Hard working young men.)!!
