Fuck Starbucks. Out of the Blue Café is way too good to be true. Great coffee, flaky pastries, tasty sandwiches on fresh baguettes, salads, fruit smoothies, homemade soups, and free wi-fi. Hell, they even have wine. Nestled in a beautifully redone little house, Out of the Blue has a tranquil, art-lined interior and a groovy, SoBe-style outdoor patio often decorated with fresh flowers. The café's freshly painted pastel exterior sticks out like a delicate bud of gentrification in this somewhat raunchy neighborhood. Owner Carmen Miranda (no fruit headgear) cares a lot. Quick, competent service is sometimes complemented by surprising little touches: Don't be surprised if free biscotti show up with your café au lait.

You all have to be kidding me about this place. With its fucking annoying South Beach club music and its usual cast of annoying characters, that for some reason the more annoying they are the more loud they have to be. I guess I thought of a coffee house as a more homey rustic place with some damn good simple grub and awesome coffee. Well they have the coffee down right, but it is so damn stereotypical South Beachy that is makes me sick. I also wish I didn't have to listen to all of the beauty tips and home furnishing talk. I know, I know it is my fault. I'm just nostalgic of a different kind of quality, that has some more depth than this Myspace culture.
I want you all to know that Out of the Blue is the greatest coffeehouse in Miami's Metropolitan area. If you want to have a great cappuccino just like in Italy this is the place to go, and to make things better they have the best sandwiches and salads, not to mention their daily soup specials "to die for". Last but not least who would ever think that a coffeehouse could produce the best smoothie in town, their MUITO MANGO is a must. Ed, if cursing is what you need to do in order to let us know what is great out there go ahead make our day!!! Guys dont' forget to ask for the owner Carmen Miranda she will make sure your stay at her stablishment is a memorable one!!! Hey, Jennie why don't you go and check the art now, i guess when you are trying to help starving artist anything goes on the wall.
Okay! Back to the restaurant. Great service, great food, a nice surprise. They just need to change the hideous artwork/interior design.
