Best Bistro Miami 2007 - Mama Lila's Bistro
Mama Lila's is just delightful and an anomaly in terms of quality matched with affordability. Shrimp and burgers grilled on lava rocks, generous salads, and of course, my perpetual fantasy of being hooked up to an IV of the golden calabash soup they made last winter. My only criticism is that the menu can get a little boring if you plan on eating there on a weeklky basis. At least its consistently delicious!
We all know you wrote all these. Like that many people post comments on one restaurant and all within the same few days??? Come on now. Give it a rest.
I'm glad I discovered Mama Lila's so soon after they moved to the Gables. The Valderrama sisters' creativity and versatility make every meal special. They have a knack for making visitors feel like family.
What a treat to eat anything at Mama Lila's! the gourmet quality of the food, the personal service and those home made desserts!!! We are lucky to have you in the Gables.
I was given a gift certificate to Mama Lila's but had no idea that it would be so good. The stuffed mushroom cap appetizer was incredible, as was the pasta dish I had. My friends and I have this on our favorites list and will be celbrating a birthday there soon. It is a wonderful treat to have this Bistro in Coral Gables.
From the moment you walk in and Rosa greets you to the truly wonderful food prepared by Elisa and Lili, each visit has always been a treat. Our most sincere congratulations!!!
Thank you from the bottom of my heart, to The New Times and to the lovely customers who commented. I wake up everyday excited about what soup I'me going to make, and it makes me all tingly to know other people get excited about it too. A toast to creamy soups, medium-rare BBQ burgers, flourless cakes, and my three beautiful sisters who inspire me daily.
I love that I can walk to the restaurant and enjoy a great meal. I don't eat out often, to date, I have been there only one time but enjoyed a tasty and healthy meal and am planning my next visit. The personal service was unrivaled and complimented the great tasting, affordable meal.
We love to go to Mama Lila's and we are so glad that it is getting this much deserved recognition from the New Times! Keep up the wonderful bistro feeling and those delicious dishes.
We have eaten at Mama Lila's at least 25 times, and have always enjoyed wonderful food! Rosa is the perfect hostess ~ we love it!
Rosa, better order more of "that Chardonnay" that Roberta Valderrama helps herself to. I just made reservations and my party and I are planning to arrive hungry ... and thirsty!
This is my favorite place in all of Miami. The food is incredible, the service is stellar. I wish there was one like it in L.A. I can't recommend it highly enough. So tasty!!!!!
Tried it for the first time last week and loved it. Will definitely return with friends to enjoy the charming ambiance and excellent food and service.
Anything these women do is genuine and full of heart and soul. How could there place be anything but the best?
Best Bistro run by the best three sisters I've ever known, and I know sisters. I'm counting the days to get back to Miami to eat me some of Elisa's fettucine alfredo and any of her soups, and let's not forget Lili's spicy Peruvian pepper tapenade....mmmm...scrumdidliumptious. And Rosa, save me a bottle of that Chardonnay I'm always helping myself to so I can better perform my duties as official taste tester of the family. I'm so proud of all of you!!
Mama Lila's has it all...great location, inviting charm, one-of-a-kind service & DELICIOUS food! You are guaranteed to LOVE it & keep going back!
My wife and I been dining at Mama Lila's since it opened late last year and it always delivers fine food, great hospitality, and the charm of the Valderrama sisters. It's been on our weekly "must do list" since then." Be sure to order the soup of the day!"
Mama Lila's Bistro is a TREAT... I suggest you treat yourself soon. While you're at it - bring some one with you and treat them too!
