Best Kosher Market Miami 2006 - Sarah's Tent

This place is a kosher cornucopia overflowing with gourmet delights and Middle Eastern staples, from homemade hummus and tahini to halvah and mushroom-stuffed Turkish bureka pastries. The five-aisle market is probably the only place in Miami where you will find five different kinds of frozen Yemeni malawah or six brands of gefilte fish. There's an impressive produce section and a butcher counter with plenty of glatt kosher meats. There is a prepared foods counter filled with mouthwatering pastas, seafood salads, p?t? meatballs, chicken cutlets, vegetable dishes, and stuffed grape leaves. Kosher empanadas? Check. Kosher sushi? Check. Olives and pickles? There's a whole serve-yourself bar of them next to the mountains of nuts and candied fruits toward the front of the store. Oh, and Sarah's boasts a solid wine selection with plenty of -- what else? -- Manischewitz.

devorah and jonwhere did u come up with these commets? were you paid by a compeditor? sarah's tent has been the serving the community for 4 years now and everyone is very satisfied. jon-1- long lines mean people are shopping there whicj mean there are happy about the place 2-bad tasting food is a matter of taste 3-not expensive for kosher food and compared to other kosher food places 4-unsanitary??????based on what do u say that? have u been to their kitchen???????? the place is spotless!!!!! just ask the health department...next time when u want to trash a place have your facts right. devorah-the owner does not deal with comstomers, just like all the big owners of the big supermarket-he had managers to deal with costomers, and they are very nice and do their best to help.in short, sarah's tent is a great place that takes care of the community.

I think that you both don't know what you're talking about. I shop at Sarah's Tent every week and sometimes two and three times. I never had a problem and if I did, it was solved with no problems. I would like to know how long you were shopping there. I know that you have to be snow bird. As far as the owner go, he has his days, but he is a great person. If you were a regular customer, why is it now that you positing you reply may I ask? I know for a fact that in South Florida, there is NO kosher supermarket that can compete with them. Including Kosher Kingdom.

Do you mean "Worst" kosher takeout? That's what Sarah's Tent is. Long lines, bad tasting food, very expensive, unsanitary, need I say more?

This takeout sells spoiled food and when you go to return it, the owner is extremely nasty, throwing a fit in front of all the customers and barely wanting to give you your money back and telling you not to come again. This is how he treats a regular customer in the neighborhood, imagine how he'll treat a non-regular customer. A lot of the food is bad. Kosher Kingdom, also in Aventura, has much better food and they are much more polite and value their customers. I highly recommend NEVER going to Sarah's Tent.
