Just saw your piece on hookworms on Miami Beach. Be aware that hookworms come from dogs also. Read up before you condem only cats. People take their dogs on beaches all the time. Both animals are responsible....esp found in kittens and puppies. This is why it's so important to take your animals to a vet when you first get them to be dewormed. Yearly exams will keep on top of this condition.

maybe you can help me - I am trying to remember the name of the weatherman that was on a Miami station (not sure it was yours)-he was a short man with glasses and always wore bow ties. I remember weaver the weatherman but cannot remember the one with the bow ties. I lived in Broward County for 50 years - could you help me remember?Thanks!
