You can call him Ray, or you can call him Ray Ray, or you can call him Raymond Ray, but the one thing you dont have to do is pay to hear Ray. The Ray Ray Jazz Mix will perform tonight as part of the Museum of Contemporary Arts Jazz at MoCA series. This talented group of jazz artists, led by percussionist Raymond Ray, has graced the MoCA series for several years with its popular combination of Caribbean, Brazilian, and traditional jazz styles. Ray has performed throughout the United States and Europe with stars such as Dizzy Gillespie, Spider Martin, Shirley Horn, Lou Donaldson, and Della Reese. The performance begins at 8:00 on the museums lawn, so bring a blanket or lawn chairs, and pack some snacks and beverages. The museum will be open extended hours from 7:00 to 10:00 p.m. and is currently hosting Metro Pictures Part Two. Admission is free, but donations are encouraged.
