If brain freeze is the feeling you get when you take in too much of something cold too fast, what is it called when you have too much damn fun too fast? If you love diving or just think you might, we think it might be called Island Sun Splash. From today through June 16, you’ll be able to confirm or deny that for yourself.

For the next six days, from Key Largo to Islamorada, there will be all types of underwater and terrestrial fun to get into. “It’s designed for both water lovers and land lovers. There are things for folks to do if they want to play in the water or on land. There’s pretty much something for everybody,” says event coordinator Jeannine Cook. During the week, there’ll be a land and sea photo scavenger hunt, snorkeling and scuba lessons, kayaking, a barbecue, diving expeditions, and other fun stuff for kids of all ages. To plan every waking moment around the festival, call 305-451-2440, and visit www.fla-keys.com for a complete schedule of events.
