Seems like everybody has something to say about your drinking, telling you that youre selfish and that its messing up your liver. Okay, so maybe the hooch isnt so great for your vital organs, but dammit, youre not selfish! You can prove that and get a little sauced at todays Pub Crawl, because unlike your usual binges, this one will be for a good cause.
The Returned Peace Corps Volunteers of South Florida, Inc., (RPCVSF) in conjunction with CARE, are sponsoring this wet charity event to raise funds to support CARE projects in Sudans Darfur region. Americans have become so saturated with ten-second sound bites about Britney Spears and Paris Hilton that they dont seem to comprehend just how bad things are in Darfur. Hopefully the promise of a few drinks on a sunny Saturday afternoon on Miami Beach will help us raise awareness about this humanitarian crisis, says Rich Sayette of the RPCVSF. So throw on a green shirt and bum your $50 donation and some drink money, because the crawl will be hitting six Lincoln Road bars, including Finnegans II and Rosinellis.
