I must say I love you, but I have a problem. I'm 20 years old. I have a boyfriend, but I just recently got out of a relationship that lasted three years. I just met my boyfriend five months ago. He's kind of taking us serious, and I feel bad that I'm flirting with other guys, and going on dates, and going as far as sleeping with other guys. But you know the saying -- A GIRL JUST WANNA HAVE FUN!
But my boyfriend kind of got the feeling that I'm sliding on him, and constantly asks me about it, but I never answer. How do I break the news to him?
Hey, I appreciate the love!
First off, you are too young to be in and out of all these relationships. Or could it be that you label every guy you sleep with. Be single for a while. There is absolutely nothing wrong with it. Besides, you are only 20 years of age.
Most importantly, don't settle down with a rebound because you feel the need to have a boyfriend -- especially since you must sleep around! Why drag this new guy along, knowin' you are not ready to be in a committed relationship? And you lyin' to this man is only digging yourself in a deeper hole for when the truth come out. How can you expect this man, or any man for that matter, to respect you, if you can't respect yourself enough to be honest with him about your affairs? Especially if you made a commitment with him!
If you are just a girl who wants to have fun, you have a lot of maturing to do. Girls shouldn't be havin' sex in the first place. Act like the woman you are, and leave your boyfriend and just remain friends. Sleeping around on your partner is never good. Breakin' someone's heart is like playin' with fire! And if he sense the cheatin', that can only mean that you are bein' sloppy -- and if you are bein' sloppy, you need to stop!
Y'all don't have no kids and no attachments, so there is nothing keepin' you in that relationship. If you want to mingle, flirt, and sleep with other men, be single until you are ready to be in a monogamous relationship!
