Show Me

Have you heard of Kid Ink? No doubt you’ve been partying to this newcomer from L.A.’s summertime megahit, “Show Me,” thanks in part to Chris Brown’s you-hate-him-for-being-so-sexy vocals. Bad-boy friends aside, Kid Ink is making a hot name for himself on the charts. His single “Main Chick” broke the Billboard Top 20 for rap and reached 31 on the R&B chart. Tyga is a frequent collaborator, and Kid Ink’s album My Own Lane peaked at number three. That being said, Kid Ink makes party music, and there’s no better environment for moving to his ’90s revival dance beats than on an actual dance floor. See if he can push the energy up in front of a live audience when he makes a headlining appearance at Grand Central (697 N. Miami Ave., Miami) Tuesday, with support from King Los and Bizzy Crook.
Tue., May 20, 8 p.m., 2014
