Everyone knows the best reason to have kids is so you dont look like some kind of weirdo or pervert when you attend events like the twelfth annual National Childrens Theater Festival. Sure, the kids will love meeting the Junior Orange Bowl court and seeing a magic show, but can they possibly enjoy the musical Seussical, Jr. as much as you-ssical? No. Theyll groove to performances by Gemz and the Hip-Hop Kidz, but can they totally relate to Rock Musicals through the Ages? We think not. And while theyll be awestruck when they meet characters like Madeline, Miss Clavel, Charlotte, Templeton, and Wilbur, you know youll get more out of the acting and makeup workshops than they will. At least you can both enjoy the Understood Betty performance together.
