Many people who, in better economic times, considered impressing a new love with a getaway to France (pronounced frahnce) are instead left to work their charm at the same old South Florida spots. Well, you can stay stateside and still knock the socks off l’amour de votre vie. Photoshop the Eiffel Tower into the background of your most recent couple pic, gift-wrap it, and include two passes to the ninth annual Perrier French Film Festival, which runs this Thursday through Monday at Cinema Paradiso. The fest will include 15 films, paired with fine French cuisine, to ensure that all the senses are delighted. This Thursday, dine on fromage, coq au vin, and crêpes during the opening-night soiree at 6 p.m. before watching the opening-night film, Paris Express, at 7:30.
