When someone says, "O, Miami," you probably think what they really mean is "Oh, shit! Miami," or "Oh, no, Miami" or "Uh-oh, Miami." But if they care anything about poetry, what O, Miami really means is a monthlong celebration of rhythmic verse that runs from April 1 to Saturday, April 30. Capping the event is the second annual Poetry Dinner at BLT Steak at the Betsy South Beach. A $150 ticket includes a reading by U.S. Poet Laureate W.S. Merwin at 7 p.m. at the New World Center, dinner at 8:30, a book of poetry, and valet parking. For more details, go here.
Sat., April 30, 8:30 p.m., 2011
