Does your Sunday usually involve a hangover and a TV remote? Get off the couch, because Sunday Funday is making a comeback this winter, and you can get great food and art both fast and cheap — unlike your date the previous evening. Though green markets are commonplace — with booths filled by the usual suspects such as locally grown organic fruits and vegetables, teas, spices, homemade soaps, and artisan breads and cheeses — the Collins Park Green Market, opening this Sunday, is anything but typical. Stone crabs, Florida lobsters, and prepared foods (competitive restaurant fare banned from the Lincoln Road market) are tossed in among the normal offerings. Collins Park is flanked by museums, including the Cando Arts Coop, which houses more than a dozen artists in 5,000 square feet, which is open Sundays so market-goers can get their art fix. It’s easy to grab some lunch and have a picnic in the park. The best part: There’s actually parking (metered) right across the street. Every Sunday at 1 p.m. there’s a cooking demo by a local chef. This week, it’ll be renowned executive chef of Creek 28, Kira Volz.
